Never Read Didion No. 3
A lover of literature in Southern California, and you haven’t read Didion? This is where we gasp. Except we haven’t either. So we’re beginning with the seminal “Slouching Towards Bethlehem”, because we’re told that’s where we’re meant to start. Join us for digital meetings beginning August 23rd and occurring every Wednesday this Spring.
That’s not all — we’ll also be hosting optional in-person sessions for members to meet and connect throughout the Spring with a closing party for “Slouching Towards Bethlehem” in July (just before we open for our completely in-person Summer Sessions).

Summer Sessions: First Meetings Salon & Book Selection
Join us for the first meeting of the Private School reading group this summer! At our inaugural IRL salon, we’ll introduce ourselves, discuss the season ahead, and select the book we’ll be diving into together. It’s the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow readers and kick off our summer reading journey.

Beach Read No. 1
On May 3rd, we’re meeting at the beach for a relaxed afternoon of reading in the sun (weather willing). There will be comfortable spots to settle in, refreshments to enjoy, and plenty of space to read or just hang out. Slouching Towards Bethlehem: Essays by Joan Didion is the recommended read, but it’s really about being there and meeting the people you’ve been reading with. It’s open to anyone — guests and those not reading the Spring title are welcome.
